HEY G3!!!

THINGS TO DO BEFORE THE HOLIDAY'S OVER!!!
1. Fill out that NIE survey on http://sota.asknlearn.com because it's compulsory for those who didn't opt out of it.
2. Physical Science revision worksheet,
3. Write an essay on a different topic for ARC if you haven't. It's to get more exposure to different types of questions, basically. Mr Ong encouraged us to write one, so...yup, just do it lol.
4. Pretty much revise for exams.

Sorry for not collecting the travel declaration forms, I really thought we had to bring it to the office ourselves X_X OKAY! Well, just pass the travel declaration forms to me on Monday and I'll bring it to the office for you guys, then. Yup! By Monday!!

Oh yeah, and I reckon it's such a great thing that we managed to make those glasses for Mr Ng ♥ I'm glad we managed to do something like this.

To those who hasn't given me your Acknowledgement forms and NIE research forms, I really, really need them ASAP, can you please give them to me on Monday? Latest BY Tuesday, please? It's really important, in fact the due date was on the 14th, but nothing's happened, so... yeah.

SECOND.
Teachers Day,
Please let me know which teacher you'd like to be in charge of making the award for. Let me know before Tuesday, and I'll probably let you guys bring home the drawing blocks to draw/paint/stick stuff on. You can tell me via MSN or email, but PLEASE TELL ME!

Oh yeah and a really really huge GRATS to our whole class for making it through to the semi finals together and the Banana team for making it to third position in the end ♥ Yeah. We always win really funny stuff :P

the DEBATES (TWO YEARS IN A ROW, TOO!)
last year's Volleyball tournament, Ninja Turtles made it through to the quarter finals without losing a single set and game, and the Vomiters won the whole thing! So cool right :D
And this year's Softball tournament, we made it this far :)
Good luck for Soccer too, hope we can do something cool again ^^

Anyway, this is pretty much it, hope you guys'll do what you have to do basically, yup!

Hi G3, sorry there weren't much updates for this class blog, but here they are!

SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT!
we had one today during PE!
Facebook won by one point to G3 and won by about 3 or 4 points to G4, yup!

MATHS
Miss Lim's class, mensuration worksheet, do page 222 of textbook qs 4, 6, 8, I think.
Common Test is in Week 5, and it's 20%, and it's about everything to Mensuration, yup.

LITERATURE
please hand up your notes on the question that you're going to choose for your essay, and write your points about it (a draft, basically) on the question. Also, try to write the introduction and an idea of what the conclusion is.

And that is basically it. Oh yeah. Class funds. Yesh, it is not very nice to hear about, but we're short of three months of class funds, so for the amount, let's ask Nicole! :D

Hey guys, here's the list of our holiday homework so far.

HOLIDAY HOMEWORK:
ARC: Essay Writing - Holiday Assignment. It has to be typed out.
ARC Journal on Ageism if you still need to work on it.
IHSS: Write what Diderot and Rousseau believed in 3-4 sentences.
Look Marie Antoinette up on wikipedia.
Do a BMA (strongly encouraged by Mr Ng)
Finish back of the worksheet on Age of Reason.
LIT: Buy The Giver in the bookshop for $8.50 and read it during the holidays.
June Holiday Assignment.
MATH: At http://sota.asknlearn.com, we have to do the June Holiday Assignment under QUIZ (will be up on June 1st). For Miss Lim's class, (not sure if everyone else has to do this) we have to copy the answers down on paper (or just print them out) and show our working and answers on it.
CHINESE: (for Huang Lao Shi's class) the zuo ye, the worksheet on poetic devices.
also, we need to write an answer to one of the questions related to the newspaper article, I think.
LIFE SCIENCE: June Holiday Assignment
PHYSICAL SCIENCE: Revision Worksheet 2, fill in the numbers in the exercises at the back of the Chemistry notes.
VISUAL ARTS: Assignment for Art Theory, go to SAM and fill in the worksheet from the two exhibitions.

We're going to have a new classmate joining us this coming week ^^ Her name is Jing Yun and she's going to be in Music, as a vocal student, yup! So let's make her feel very welcome in our class, okay? :)

REMINDERS:
ARC: Group Presentation is in Week 7, which is next week. It is not necessary to present it on a powerpoint, but if it helps you to present better, then go for it :)
Science: FILE CHECK on May 6th. Both practical and ring file of notes.
HEALTH BOOKLETS: Bring on Monday, May 4th. As well as thermometers everyday from now onwards...
Literature: Test is in Week 8. On Adrian Mole T.T Isn't that like the most depressing topic to do a test on? Okay, nevermind.
Chinese: Chinese podcast script is due Week 7. And yes, it is an oral presentation.

Anyway, school's back again tomorrow, so here's just reminding you guys what we have to do basically.

Homework:
Math: Miss Lim's class, page 18, 19, 20 of Chapter 4 notes.
Chinese: The Chinese green podcast script. It's not translating our actual script, this is just a practice one.
IHSS: To finish the questions we went through during class, to just read the second last and last page. Oh, and for those who haven't posted anything on the wikispaces board, you really gotta do it soon! http://sotahss.wikispaces.com is the website to go to.
VA: Relief Sculpture paragraph on concept. Yup.

Hey peoples. Here's our holiday homework. Yeah, it's a big contrast. Holidays and homework just doesn't go together, do they? Ah well.

Homework:
Life Science: revision worksheet
Physical Science: revision worksheet
Maths: Those in Miss Lim's maths class, the Enrichment 3 pages we're supposed to stick into our maths notebooks, completely finished by Monday, March 23.
March Holiday Assignment: the questions stated to be done in each revision exercise in our textbook.
Chinese: book review T_T good grief.
Literature: Our corkboard :D
Green Podcast: Draft of script has to be fully edited and a good copy has to be ready by the end of the March holiday.

For VA students: Art Theory: Essay at least 600 words long, to be finished, man. Research file's due in T2W1, so make sure the articles are printed out and the citation's given and everything. Yupyup.

ARC: powerpoint on our investigation thing is going to be on MONDAY, March 2nd, by 2:00PM. I think you're supposed to put the powerpoint file in a thumbdrive.

Our Maths test is over, for now ♥ YAY! I hope all of us managed to do the best we could, yeah ^^

Homework:
Literature: PSB, page 36 - put in scansions on the Sloths poem; page 37 - to do questions 7a-c.
Maths: In Miss Lim's class, the five questions she stated to do in Practice 3A. If we don't do it, she said she'll chuck us out of class, so yeah.

ARC: We have to give another copy of our proposal to Mr Sim so he can tell us on how to improve and stuff.

ARC: PROPOSAL is due this MONDAY, February 16th at 2:00PM! You have to print it out. Yeah.
Chinese: For those in Miss Oei's Chinese class, that zuo ye worksheet.

Reminders:
Literature: Literature will be in class on Monday, February 16th.
Math: There is an assessment coming up this Tuesday, February 17th. It's going to be 10% of our overall score for the entire year, so let's all try and make a good start for Math, even though it may seem really frustrating, okay? ^^ We can do it.

Don't you guys reckon we have a lot of things to do lately? O.o
And that we don't have a lot of time to do the things we love the most 'cause so many things are occupying our mind and time? Sigh.

Hi :) It's Christie.

As some of you might now by now, our class party is TOMORROW, okay :) It's to celebrate TWO special people's birthdays, and these people have contributed much to our studies in some way or another, so this is just a chance for us as students to show that we appreciate them :) I'm sure they'd really appreciate it.

Anyway, what we as a CMC have decided is that tomorrow, all of us are invited to bring some food to contribute if we can. So far, we've bought potato chips, some drinks and a cake. Yup. The party should last for half an hour at the most so you guys can have time to eat your lunch after if you didn't get to eat enough at the party (but if you're worried about food shortage, then PLEASE bring some food too to share :D). Yup! Any more ideas to make it a more enjoyable party are very welcome, okay :)

Homework:
1. Literature: Finish worksheet on Assonance. You only need to write another example of assonance for those which DO have assonance in them :)
2. IHSS: Page 19 of second worksheet. Prepare for presentation :)
3. Science: Fill in practical worksheets!
4. Math: For those in Miss Lim's class, try and do Revision Paper 1 and the Common Test Revision paper, kay? And the Word Problems, as well in our notes.

Reminders:
Literature: It's in LT tomorrow. BRING POETRY SKILLS BUILDER :) And homework, of course.

Hey guys, it's Christie.
I just wanted to say thanks for voting me as the class chairperson, so yeah.

If there's any mistakes in the updates, you've got to tell me so I can change them ASAP :)

Anyway, here's the homework we've got so far. Also, because our class is split up into different MT and Maths classes, you guys CAN put up the homework for each of your respective MT and Maths classes :)

Homework:

1. SCIENCE: practical worksheet (Diffusion & Osmosis), due next lesson with Mrs Sara. Buy BOTH practical workbooks if you haven't bought them yet and hand them in by the next Science lesson with Mrs Sara.

2. Weekly Planner worksheet due Friday, Feb 6th.

3. GREEN PODCAST: Print/photocopy at least two articles and put them in your group's Green Podcast file by THIS FRIDAY, Feb 6th.

4. MATHS: Those in Miss Lim's Maths class (in G5 classroom), Practice 1G is our homework. If you haven't got a clue how to do it, you could ask me if you want.

THINGS TO REMEMBER:

1. Bring SKILLS IN ENGLISH 2 for next Lit class (Monday, Feb 9th).

2. Chinese core students have a mock Chinese formative assessment tomorrow. Bring gao zi and a pure chinese dictionary (electronic or paperback). It's going to be writing about the dance video that we saw during E3D this Monday and we have to write a letter about it, I think.

3. Oh, and there's a rumour that we have to bring our thermometer to school tomorrow so just bring it in case we do need it.
